A Man Without Words

Susan Schaller, author of A Man Without Words, has worked for decades through public speaking, writing, the film and project, Vital-Signs, and advocacy, to raise awareness of the importance of language, equal access to language and how we all benefit by learning from each other, regardless of differences. She has finished retelling The Boy Who Cried Wolf and Hansel and Gretel for the multilingual ASL Tales.  She has been working on a play, Without Words, which was performed this last July, at the Appalachian Summer Festival in Boone, N. C.  She first met the south when she earned an Masters in Public Health in community education from UNC, Chapel Hill.  She currently lives in an intentional community in rural Appalachia working for community sustainability.
