Abraham Believed God is brought forth in this episode of Romans chapter 7. Along with other truths that the Apostle Paul is delivering through the epistle to those in Rome. Making sure the Jews, proselytes, and other Gentiles of the faith understand clearly the work of redemption, believing God, and the Lord Jesus Christ [Yeshua]. It is clear that here the sins, iniquities, and the hope for all people is set down. It is holy, righteous, truthful, and called the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It fulfills the Law and the Prophets. Paul is bringing forth truths from both the #Tanakh and the writings that would become the New covenant, New testament, or the #BritChodesh. Redemption was never a new topic, it was an ongoing work from the creation to save mankind who would fall. Very important doctrinal truths of #Soteriology are laid down by Paul.
#Abraham #Believed is up front in this section of #Romans. Leading up to the truth of #sin, #redemption, and believing God is paramount to finding redemption. For without #faith, sayeth He; "it is impossible to please God, for he that cometh to God must believe he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. This follows what Paul brings forth as the "law of faith" where a persona is #justified by faith without the deeds of the law." Abraham so long ago believed the #LORD. He who is Perfect said that believing or having faith in the God who spoke to Him, Abraham was thus #righteous, for it was accounted to him for righteousness sake because he did believe the Lord.
