I Have Chosen brings us to part 111 in Isaiah's Prophetic book. We are following the prophecies of Isaiah through discourses here. Now amidst the devastation of judgment, hope arrives in the form of a declaration that God chose Judah. These words bring reassurances that the Lord God is in charge. He tells them to "Not fear". He further states that he would "strengthen them." In all that had occurred the righteousness of the Lord was the main instrument in this judgment. He assures them that with this same righteousness, he would uphold them. These words would have been so comforting for them, even today amidst troubles; they are chosen. Scripture does say, "Many are called, but few are chosen" Matthew 22:14 KJV. Today the nations of men need to understand with the gospel, this same rule applies.

The Seed of Abraham my friend, my servant Israel, and Jacob whom I have chosen brings us to the next portion of #Isaiah. The Lord mentions three phrases describing Israel. These are the #SeedofAbraham, my servant Israel, and Jacob whom I have chosen. If ever there were doubts in any minds that the Lord chose #Israel from the nations, this should clear it up. But this address is to a #backslidden Judah in captivity in #Babylon. They have been there for seventy years and no doubt feeling forsaken is common among these captives.
