Escaped of the Nations brings us to part one hundred and thirty-seven in Isaiah's prophetic book. While we follow the prophecies of Isaiah, we have been looking closely at Judah's judgment and related biblical histories in God's Word. The faithfulness of the Lord is paramount here as is his grace towards Judah. Even in the time of the law, God still had grace and his mercy was evident from the beginning. Also evident was God's wrath over disobedience and his people forsaking him for other gods which were no gods and could not redeem anyone. Even today, God is calling his people out of the world, the nations of men who are the Escaped of the Nations.

Escaped of the Nations flows out of Isaiah's prophecy this week. From the beginning the Lord warned Israel not to do as the other nations did before God drove them out of the land. Even at Sinai the warnings were there. What occurred later is well known, the Northern Tribes aka Israel or ten tribes or lost tribes were conquered by Assyrians and taken captive. Judah was conquered by Babylon but seventy years later was brought back into the land to restore the Jerusalem and rebuild the temple. It was a new beginning for Judah. Christians are also warned that we are in the world not of it. Further, friendship with the world is enmity with God. There is no clearer phrase for both Israel and Christians, we are Escaped of the Nations. God intended it that way. #EscapedoftheNations
