“We must be doer of the Word, not just hearer of the Word”  James 2:14-26  Faith without work is dead

Faith without works is dead because it comes from a heart that has not been regenerated by God. Empty professions of faith have no power to change lives. Those who do lip service only in regards to faith, words only, no deeds do not possess the Spirit.  This is why Jesus said in  Matthews 7:21-23 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. James is speaking about those who may have only accepted Christ with their words and not with their heart, God looks at the heart.
