Word of Wisdom - Plain and SImple - Hosted by Dianne Adams, a servant of God - Wednesday, March 25, 2020 @ 8:30 PM Call in number 1-347-945-7650 Prayer 504-289-9501 “Sometime it may only be a test” Job 1:6-12
Job 1:6-8 6Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. 7And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 8And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
Here we see that Satan has access to God here in the present of God walking to and fo in the earth and walking up and down it. That’s why Peter said in: 1 Peter 5:8,"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" God all-knowing asked Satan have thou considered my servant Job. Here God was the initiator because He knew Satan plans, and knew that he had tried Job several times and failed.
The account of Job is a perfect example of God’s allowing one of His saints to be tested by the devil. Job bore all his trials patiently and “did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing” (Job 1:22). However, the account of Job’s testing is proof that Satan’s ability to try us is limited by God’s sovereign control. No demon can test or afflict us with beyond what God has ordained. All our trials work toward God’s perfect purpose and our benefit. In testing our faith, God causes us to grow into strong disciples who truly live by faith and not by what we see. . Come and join us!
