“We are in a Spiritual Battle”  1 Corinthians 10:3-5  There is a war going on within us daily between the flesh and the Spirit

2 Corinthians 10:3  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds: 5 Casting down imagination and every high thing the exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ.

These scriptures are saying even though we live in this body made of flesh we do not fight according to world or human standards. These scriptures are letting us know there is a war going on and the war is between our flesh and our Spirit. As long as we live in the body which is our flesh, the flesh will crave fleshly things, sin dwells in the flesh, but the Spirit will yarn for the things of God which are spiritual.  This war is actively taking place every second of our lives and you need to know that this war is fought in the board room of your minds. Our mind is what directs and controls us.  Our mind is either taking to us to do something or talking us out of doing something. Proverbs 23:7 says So as a man thinketh, so is he.  We are what we think.  The way that we think can either help us or hurt us. We can not allow our thoughts to be governor by Satan or man’s standard which is the world standards, because then we will only be concerned with the desires of the flesh; only satisfying our want appetite,  if we do we will certainly loss the war.
