What the Devil set-up for the bad, God turned it around for the Good"  Genesis 45

Joseph had a lot going for him in his early years. He was handsome. He was the 11th child and first son born to Jacob through Rachel, the one he loved the most and he was born to him in his old age. He was his father’s favorite son and he made him a coat of many colors. He had great dreams that made him feel good about himself. But then one day his entire life changed. At the age seventeen Joseph began to give his father bad reports about his brothers, he was a taleteller. To make matters worse, Joseph began relating his dreams to the family—he stated that one day he would be ruler over his family.  His brother began to hate him, filled with jealousy.  Can you imagine how it must have felt to know your brothers hated you so much that they would kill you. Instead, they decided to sell him to get him out of their lives. Remember nothing happens unless God orchestrate or allow it. God was preparing him for His intended purpose and expected end. God often has to “break” us before He can use us. He was forced to leave the comfortable life he had known, full of love from his parents. He no longer had a feeling of entitlement. How frightening that must have been for a boy of 17. Yet, God had His hand on Joseph, a divine purpose, for a designed reason in a season. Joseph didn’t understand why God had chosen this path for his life until the very end, yet he never seemed to waver. We must learn to wait until our change comes.  God was always in control working it out for his good.  Joseph kept his eyes on God, and He used Joseph greatly. Let God use you where you are. Let Him use you in the hard times, as well as the good times.
