“Jesus starts to feel the pain and suffering, before the cross”   Luke 22:39-51

Jesus had just finished the Last Supper where He let them know that that would be the last time He would eat with them until it is done in His Kingdom. We take communion today in remembrance of Christ, the bread His body and the wine His blood. He made His disciples aware of His betrayed by Judas and that He would be denied by Peter.  This lets us know that nothing can take Jesus by surprise.  Jesus knew the writing of the prophets and the law and that why He said He didn’t come to abolish them, but to fulfill them and now He was ready to face His destiny. Jesus went to the Garden of Gethsemane which is on the located on the lower slope of Mount of Olives.  The Garden of Gethsemane is a place where Jesus often prayed that is how Judas knew where to find Him.  People watch you and know your pattern good or bad, and uses them to their advance, for you or against you.  All twelve disciples were with Him when He arrived at the Garden, but He only took three in with Him to pray, Peter, James and John, His inner circle. He separated Himself from them and kneeled down to pray.
