Jesus began to teach a parable, a parable is an earthly story with a heaven meaning, they are easier to remember, gives us food for thought, and the desire to study the meaning of what is being said.
This is a parable about four types of soil which represents four types of people and four different responses to the seed once they hear it.
The sower in this parable is a famer which represents Jesus Christ
The seed is the Word of God. A seed is planted to yield fruits for a harvest. The problem is never with the seed which we will see tonight, but where it falls and how the soil receives it
The Soil is the people the hearers of the word. This parable is about the hearers of the word and once they hear what he or she does with it.
It's time to evaluate ourselves. You may ask the question, "What type of soil am I.
