Where God guides, He always provides 1 Kings 17:1-24

God never leaves His people in the dark. He used His prophets to tell His people what He was going to do, rather good or bad.  We can believe this because the scripture says: God explains, “Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets” (Amos 3:7).   We first meet Elijah when he suddenly appears to challenge Ahab, an evil king who ruled the Northern Kingdom, which included ten of the twelve tribes of Israel. Elijah prophesies a drought to come upon the whole land as a consequence for Ahab’s evil. Here God uses Elijah the Prophet to announce the punishment and warn the Israelites to change their ways.  King Ahab, according to the Bible, was one of Israel's most powerful rulers. Many consider him to be the WORST ruler that ancient Israel ever had. His wife Jezebel was so evil that she has come to symbolize revengeful, malicious, immoral and cruel women throughout history.  When someone is called a Jezebel which is not their name are considered to have the morals of King Ahab’s wife Jezebel. Satan had his couple on the throne, but God had His man in the field, performing miracles and leading a revival against Baal-worship.
