“Be Encouraged" 2 Corinthians 4:7-9 Trouble don't last always.
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
This scripture lets us know it’s not about the vessel, but about the treasure that is in the vessel. We are described as earthen vessels which represent jars of clay. Paul uses this to shed light on the fact that we are frail and fillable and can do nothing on our own. Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. But once we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, He entrust us with His Sprit, the Holy Ghost and we have the excellency of the power of God living inside of us. John4:4 says: greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. We must never put all our hope is the perishable container our human body or the things of this world which are temporal, but on its priceless content, Jesus Christ living within us. We spend so much time worrying about the things of this life which we have no control of instead of thinking on those that are eternal. Matthew 6:33-34 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. We live in an evil world, and it is said that Love is what Love does but I come to tell you that evil is what evil does,
