Viki Winterton interviews Devin Galaudet!

Devin Galaudet started traveling for real in 1985 by driving the coastlines of California, Oregon and Washington to Mexico and then up to Canada. He certainly has had an adventure. He met so many new faces, had lots of new experiences (a few dangerous ones) and he learned tons about life, which allowed him to learn tons about himself. Since then, Devin has traveled to over 80 countries around the world.

After 17 years in the travel industry, writing for the travel trade as well as the consumer, he has learned a thing or two about travel. You have a front row seat on this exciting subject.

Devin’s memoir, 10,000 Miles with My Dead Father’s Ashes is a poignant story dripping with mystery, hilarity and emotion. Galaudet shares how through this journey he discovered many secrets of his illusive family and learned so much more than he primarily set out to. While sharing details of his euphoric adventure, he also reminisces on the time he spent with his father. He writes about the trials and tribulations of life that form one’s relationship with his/her parents and loved ones.

Unleashing the past, Galaudet shares surreal family stories ranging from tales of scared African fertility dolls to scandals consisting of fifty stolen cars. Humor, tragedy, thrill and adventure go hand-in-hand in this gripping memoir.
