A shocking look at teen suicide!

We have been reminded this last week of an epidemic that is coming against our youth! Teen Suicide! For people in church we feel so sheltered from the things of the world.  What we first forget as adults is that what seems so stupid in the news regarding issues like gender identification, drug expermentation, teen pregancy, and current moriality to name a few.  These are part of our kids, "right now world"!  We need to remember what it was like for us at that age.  Finding our identity is a big part of being a teenager.  We start to see during that time what natural talents we have, what skills are easier to perform, and start to match our dreams to reality.  What we see as shelter from these issues with church can actually be a wall that our youth can feel crushed up against if parents, church teachers, and church leaders treat these issues as not real issues.  We need to all understand that it does take a village to rasie a child.  Wild Bill has mentioned many times that he felt like he had several parents due to the people in his church plugging into his life.  As parents we all know that teenagers go through so many normal changes that match the signs of depression and thoughts of sucidie.  This show tonight is going to provide clinical information that was provided to a church by a mental health professional.  This topic has the issue of prescribed medical solutions in our research.  Many of you will be offended at this and want to make it totally a spiritual problem.  That is fine if you are praying for a covering all of the time for church youth.  But please do not use this as an excuse to not be aware! If you have a health issue, you take medication. Your health issue is real to you.  It is obvious from the statistics that teen sucide is real problem for our youth! This is not just a youth issue, so watch for these signs in adults.
