One Year Bible Study Part 50

Welcome! We have been following a short version of a teachers study of the bible.  He did this to teach the entire bible in a school setting as a one year course.He has shared that his detailed bible study takes 7 years to go through! As we have mentioned before.  This teacher has the ability to paint a picture of what he is teaching. We are not sure if it is his teaching style, his wealth of knowledge from reading many other writings of the time and/or his having been to the locations you are reading about in the bible. For Bill it is like a breath of fresh air.  With that being said we do not always agree with some of the things that he teaches. Wild Bill will tell you that this teacher challanges him to go back into the bible on his own.  He will tell you that he has realized.  Many times we put some of the people in the bible in a non-realistic lifestyle.  We do not like to think of these people as having character flaws, to react emotionaly instead of spiritually, and even at times throw a hissy fit. In doing this we do a dis-service to ourselves.  Because it sets things up to make you wonder why you have your own emotional flaws that will show up without warning. This week we are going into the prophets of the bible.
