Pagan Holidays Like Halloween & The Church

Welcome to another show here at "Your Place" tonight.  We are taking a break from our bible study to look at the celbration of Pagan holidays by people in church.  One thing that keeps coming up on this topic is how divided church groups and people are on this topic.  The bible speaks of GOD's people should be seperate from the world.  So what does that mean? Do you ever stop and think about that.  In case you have forgot the very air you breath comes from this world. So does the food you eat, and the houses you live in.  You use the highway system of the world, the electrical system of this world and even the legal system of this world is part of your life. So this has to be speaking of spiritual things, right?  Thanks to sin their is a spirit in this world that comes against the things of GOD.  That is why we have a race to run, a battle to win, and this spirit of this world to overcome. There are two thoughts that keep coming up when you take a look at pagan holidays. First is alternative.  This is something we hear about gay marriage.  An alternative life style.  But is there not only two choices on your spiritual journey?  There is the path of sin, or you can choose the Godly path of obeying the bible. Is living for GOD not an alternative choice to the direction of this world.  Then we have another word that has a spirit that comes with it.  The spirit of compromise.  When you read the letters sent to the new testiment churches that had all followed the plan of salvation as laid out in the book of ACTs.  You can see compromise in the church and following your own logic is talked about with consequences that follow. Some people do not have a problem with attacking halloween but then they celebrate Christmas which in some ways is even more evil.  Tonight we have clips to share with you to help you make up your own mind.
