Paul From Sinner To Saint Roundtable

Welcome to Part 7 of our shows on Paul from Sinner to Saint.  Wild Bill was talking about Paul and all of the things that happened to him.  How he was ran out of towns, fleeing for his life. How he was stoned and left for dead.  He was beaten and put in jail.  He was ship wrecked, bitten by a posionous viper.  He was arrested for his missionary work several times.  We find it odd that you never read of Paul crying out to GOD and asking why these things were happening to him! Have you ever thought about this?  We get upset if someone sits in our pew, claps their hands to loud during the worship service, or if the preacher hits us between the eyes with his message. People have quit church over things like this or less.  Have you ever thought of what was going through the mind of Paul and why he did not call it quits.  Maybe he was truly thankful for his conversion. When Paul came out of the wilderness where the scriptures were all opened up to him. Maybe Paul saw these trials as being his reasonable service to endure these things. Why? Because  so great a price was paid for his salvation.  Makes us rethink our gripes for what we have to endure.  Paul had issues with people at times but never a thought against GOD is recorded.  Ever wonder when beaten and in prision what kind of praise was going on?  Wild Bill has some songs that feels might hit these types of songs that was in his heart.  Maybe they used their chains to make sounds like a tamborine or maybe scraping them against the walls like the old rub board sound. It was enough that it got God's attention! Think on Paul singing praises like this as he got up from being stoned!  Apply this thought to all of his trials! We hope this makes you rethink how thankful you are for your salvation.  Have you had to endure more then Paul?  So why is it so hard for us to be content, thankful, and dedicated to minister?
