37 million people world wide has been affected by the HIV virus. Only one man has been successfully cured of the HIV virus. He was given a bone marrow transplant from a person who was resistant to the HIV virus. But it was stated that the procedure is too costly and dangerous. Standard HIV anti retrovirus drugs have not been able to kill all the HIV virus. In the UK they tested 50 patients for the new treatment for HIV.
