    Theresa Merritt-Watson is a well known organizer, teacher, and volunteer in the Chapel Hill area of North Carolina.  She has organized college fair bus trips for prospective college students for many years and she has been very involved in her church and its outreach activities.  Theresa has written two books – Guide for Teenage Parents and Black Tech – Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow and she has led numerous seminars and tutorials for non-profit groups and charities. 
    Additionally, Theresa has served as a Board Member for the Chapel Hill, NC Board of Adjustment, served as a Board Member for the Chapel Hill, NC Sustainability Task Force Committee, been a candidate for the Chapel Hill – Carrboro, NC City School Board, served a Board Member for the Carrboro, NC Planning Board, served as a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and served as a Board Member for Habitat for Humanity.
    Theresa has six great adult children and is a native of North Carolina.  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Shaw University, a Master in Business Administration degree from the University of Arizona, a Master in Education degree from Temple University and is currently a doctoral student at Temple University.
