Many people have been crying out to God, asking Him to bless them, asking God to restore them, asking God to release something to them but they are not in position to receive the things that they are asking for because they are walking in disobedience to God's word.
As stated, God is not going to bless your mess (disobedience)...all throughout the bible, we read about God's promises and the fulfillment of those promises BUT we seem to skip over God's requirements for fulfilling the promises.
Our foundational scripture for this series is Isaiah 61:1-7 and title of this message comes from Isaiah 61:7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (AMP), IF My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
Let's take a look at this scripture in the Message Bible:
2 Chronicles 7:14 (MSG), God appeared to Solomon that very night and said, "I accept your prayer; yes, I have chosen this place as a temple for sacrifice, a house of worship. If I ever shut off the supply of rain from the skies or order the locusts to eat the crops or send a plague on my people, and my people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I'll be there ready for you: I'll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health.
