When should a child be separated from their parents? Today's show is about Parental  Alienation which is a term developed by Richard A. Gardner in the early 1980's. This term refers to what is described in which a child on an ongoing basis, belittles and insults one  parent without justification. This could also be due to combinations of factors, including information that is given to the child by the other parent which is what happens in most cases. There are different levels of alienation and up to eight symptoms that can become present in the child.

No parent is perfect. And children do not get to choose their parents. And in many cases what we are seeing is a rise in parents breaking up which also effects the children. Most children whose parents live apart from each other long for a good relationship with both parents and want to be raised by both parents. However when their is constant fighting, abuse or addiction where does one draw the line? And in some cases one parent may just be upset about the break up and will alienate the child from the other parent.

Join me and my guest as we discuss this important topic. It is very important that we raise happy, productive and emotionally stable children. If your marriage or relationship failed let's not fail in parenting ourchildren by learning how to Co-Parent and let's put an end to Parent Alienation.
