When it comes to the issue regarding drug and alcohol use many individuals will stand their ground as to why they believe that one can stop engaging in substance use if they want to. However for many individuals they may not want to stop using as they enjoy the feeling that the substance bring. And for some they may have gotten into trouble and have been forced to stop using drugs and or alcohol. Then we have those that may want to stop using yet don't know where to start. Or a love one may be searching for answers to help their love one become sober.

There are a number of individuals that need treatment for alcohol, drug abuse and addiction  that actually receive it. Many individuals often do not understand the different types of treatment.

However, drug abuse, addiction and alcoholism are the most common problems that are hurting our adolescents, teens and adults. It also destroys families and relationships not to mention how such can affect one mentally, spiritually and physically. There can also be legal ramifications not to mention death related incidences.

A recent report indicated that the number of Americans age 12 and older suffering from substance and or alcohol abuse is about 20 million and counting. So what is an individual, family member or concerned individual to do?

Join Fredrick Williams and I as we discuss the difference between abuse and addiction. We will also discuss the different types of treatment programs that are available. Sobriety can work. However it may take time, support, learning new coping skills, determination and the right treatment program along with the help of God or your higher power.
