The desire to make others happy in most cases can produce a good feeling especially when the act of kindness is appreciated or acknowledged. However when the desire makes the individual unhappy, frustrated or angry the desire can be a system of a deeper issue. It can stem from self worth issues. It could be the hope that saying yes to everything asked of them will help the individual feel accepted and liked. It could also be a way of just wanting to have peace or avoid conflicts.

It has been indicated  that People Peasing behaviors is something that can develop without one even recognizing that it is a problem. The individual may have a history of maltreatment or abuse some where along the way. It can also become a way of life for some individuals.

Many confuse People Pleasing with being kind. However there is a difference. It can lead to unhealthy behaviors such as being concerned about what others think of you. Feeling like one is being manipulated by another. If you believe that you have these tendencies realize that you have a choice. Learn how to say no without being rude.

Join me and my callers as we discuss People Pleasing behaviors. You can't pour from an empty cup. Let's learn to take care of ourself first.
