Mass shootings are terrible tragedies. As we watch the news and engage with social media many are becoming so overwhelmed, many are victims and survivors and others are trying to find ways to address this issue. There are several known factors as it relate to the incidents that have taken place in the US and other countries.  It is also hopeful that we can prevent such incidents from reoccurring.

Mass violence usually follow warning signs from the attackers. Regardless of whether these attacks were acts of workplace violence, domestic violence, school base violence or terrorism there appear to have been some similar themes. 

As individuals has explored and investigated past incidents many of the individuals involved have had at least one significant stressor within the last five years. Such could have been issues related to having conflicts with family relationships, dating relationships, being fired or suspended from work or school or perhaps were facing unstable living situation. It is also a known fact that more than half of the individuals had histories of mental issues, criminal charges and substance abuse. And nearly half were fueled by some kind of personal grievance.
