The month of April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. The goal is to educate, intervene, and provide resources to prevent and or stop child abuse. According to The National Child Abuse for 2019 the theme is to create Strong And Thriving Families. Many of children experience some type of child abuse. By spreading the word it helps bring a public awareness about preventing child maltreatment and enhancing child well-being in your community.
There is a lot of things about child abuse that many individuals may not be aware of. The show will provide information as to the definition of the Federal and State Laws by addressing the difference between discipline and abuse.
There are different types of abuse. Do you know the signs and symptoms of when a child is a victim of abuse? Risk factors and the types of perpetrators will also be discussed.
If you were a victim of abuse or know of a child that is being abused you do not want to miss this show.
