Where Is The Respect?

As a Believer, I have lived long enough to know that the word respect has a different meaning to individuals. At one time I believed that such was a universal word however based on what is going on in our world today such appears to have taken on its own meaning. As a child, many individuals were taught to respect others by their parents. Then one would enter the educational system only to continue to enhance their meaning of respect yet the experience received varied. And if one was raised in the church one was taught about respect much differently from others. However with what is occuring in the world and in the church it can be scary when one see such disrespect occuring even as one disrespect themselves as well as the Word of God.
