The month of October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. In some countries, domestic violence is often seen as justified particularly in cases of actual or suspected infidelity on the part of the woman. Domestic violence is among the most underreported crimes worldwide for both men and women. Due to social stigmas regarding male victimization, men who are victims of domestic violence also face an increased likelihood of being overlooked by healthcare.
Domestic violence can effect individuals from all walks of life. It does not discriminate. It can alsoo lead to death. As of date 3.3 million children witness domestic violence each year in the US. There are different types of abuse. There is also help and resources available.
