In honor of Black History Month we will be addressing "Colorism." Colorism is a predudice or discrimination against individuals with a dark skin tone. This typically occurs among people of the same ethnic or racial group. It can effect both males and females. There are negative implications that can occur. Many still have limited knowledge yet colorism still exist in families, movies, television, advertising, sports, politics and employment. Colorism can be rooted in generations. The trauma can be long lasting as well as the mental health, emotional and relational issues that can result.

Join me as I will be interviewing Sharytta Scroggins, author of "Dark Skin In The Mirrow," : "The Moca Skin That Shattered The Mirror." She also developed a clothing line called "Black Baby Doll." Sharytta Scroggins will share what inspired her to want to help others improve their self esteem and self worth as " Black Is Beautiful." Live 2/15/21 at 12pm Pacific. Hosted by Jeanette Abney LMFT
