Teens Tweens Drug And Alcohol Use

The month of October is National Youth Substance use and prevention month. In 2021 more than 100,000 people in the U.S died from a drug overdose. According to a SAMHSA National Survey on Drug and Health 8.2 percent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 drank alcohol in the past month and 13.8 percent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 used illcit drugs in the past year.

Substance misuse cost the nations hundreds of billion of dollars each year. Teen drug abuse and use can have a major impact on your child's life. There are are various factors that can contribute to teens drug use and misuse.

Join myself and others as other as we discuss this topic. I will be providing basic prevention techniques, intervention, education, support, families,communities, peer pressure, sports, and mental health.
