Randye Kaye was began her career as an actress and singer, appearing in venues big (NYC, LA) and small (Sierra Vista, Arizona, anyone?). She shifted her acting talents to voice-over while pregnant with her first child – and has been working behind the microphone ever since. Her credits include commercials (Kyocera printers, Betteridge Jewelers, Big Lots, Dove products), Narrations (Continental Airlines, Medicare, Burger King, MISTO, Verizon) audiobooks (fiction, non-fiction and children’s) phone systems (Priceline.com, Executone, Elizabeth Arden), websites, video games, and live announce events (Effie Awards, Echo Awards). She also worked as on-air personality in Connecticut radio (WEZN) for over 15 years, divided between afternoon and morning drive times, and her body clock is now permanently broken.
Randye is now a full-time voiceover actor, but rounds out her career – and keeps her skills sharp - by working in related fields when time permits. She currently gets her radio fix in by serving as “understudy” newscaster and classical music host on NPR local affiliates WSHU-FM and AM.
She continues to work on stage, and in film/TV in New York and Connecticut as time and opportunities permit. She has taught acting, improvisation and media awareness to both children and adults, and frequently serves as emcee/auctioneer for various charities across the state.
Randye is also a Voice-over coach with Edge Studio in New York and Connecticut.
And – oh, yeah – she also writes. Her book, Ben Behind His Voices, will be published on September 16, 2011 by Rowman and Littlefield. It’s listed on Amazon.com and other sites already!
She lives with her husband in Trumbull, CT where her son, daughter and son-in-law visit often to raid the fridge and use the washer and dryer.
