One of the underlying thoughts of most of the people I work with is "I just don't fit in!" it becomes a silent mantra that ends up controlling their lives. Most of the women didn't fit in as kids because they were into science and math...or something techy...or they liked dirt bikes and camping! Then, they follow their hearts and enter into technology...only to not fit in b/c they are women. So, they end up feeling victimized b/c they are "the only woman in the room" - they are tired, worn down and ready to toss their career for something else...ANYTHING else...just to feel what it's like to "fit in."
