Join us today on Women Leading the Way Radio as Michelle Bergquist, your host of Women Who Lead, interviews Kate Carroll, Director of Global Process at Ingram Micro.
Kate brings us a discussion from the corporate women’s point of view! Kate has seen many forms of management & leadership development programs. Kate’s current hot button is driving learning programs that drive results. She focuses on those that are preparatory for taking on a larger role in the org. Those that provide exposure to concepts and business scenarios while offering related projects within the business are the best. It combines the educational and experiential and helps weed out participants who are not ready. It can be a very complex environment, but one where women ARE on the front lines.
Kate has a long standing career with the same employer that grew like crazy through the tech boom, and because of that, she has had tons of opportunity to learn new things, transfer around the organization, try roles outside her comfort zone, and advance. The growth trajectory meant she was often acting quickly to market needs and valued associates who were adaptable, inclusive, and creative. Mentors have had a large impact for her, from her mother to professional advocates!
As the CEO and Co-Founder of Connected Women of Influence, Michelle Bergquist is a passionate advocate for women in business. At Connected Women of Influence, we believe that more women need to lead in business and everything we do is center-focused on designing platforms, programs, connections and collaborative opportunities for b2b women to prosper, succeed and lead the way in business today!
