Chatting With Sherri welcomes actor, improviser and voice artist Jim Meskimen!
Jim Meskimen is an accomplished actor, improviser and voice artist whose work has been seen and heard on television, in movies and on stage for many years. He is a veteran of hundreds of TV and radio commercials, for AT&T, IBM, Subaru, Tic-Tacs, Quality Inns Hotels, and many others.
He has appeared on series television in Whose Line is it, Anyway?, a British comedy-improv show now seen on Comedy Central, and in a recurring role on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Other television credits include Seinfeld, Third Rock from the Sun, Grace Under Fire, Ned and Stacey, Seven Days, Family Matters and To Have and To Hold. Jim's feature film debut was in Ron Howard's The Paper (1993), starring Michael Keaton and Glenn Close. He was featured as a mission controller in the hit Universal movie, Apollo 13 starring Tom Hanks and Kevin Bacon. He recently was seen in the Touchstone pictures comedy The Other Sister directed by Garry Marshall, and in Ed TV directed by Ron Howard. He also completed a featured role in Inherit The Wind for MGM, starring George C. Scott and Jack Lemmon that aired on Showtime and NBC. Jim played officer Who-Lihan in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" for Director Ron Howard.

The Roots and Wings Project (RAW), Jesse Bliss, Founding Artistic Director, will present the World Premiere production of THE JOY RIDE, an immersive site-specific touring production to be performed both in Southern California, September 20 – October 12, 2024 and in Northern California in the Bay Area, October 18 – 20, 2024. In THE JOY RIDE four dear friends gather to ride out together, but quickly realize they have much to reckon with. How, in a time of deep grief, do they dare to claim joy? This touring production is delivered out of a vintage convertible. The show contains strong language and content and is recommended for those 18 years of age and older. Performances will be outdoors, so theatergoers are advised to dress accordingly. THE JOY RIDE is written and directed by Jesse Bliss.Darian Dauchan Reginald P. Louis, Marlene Luna Castañeda and Ashlee Olivia.The show features an original score by Audiopharmacy, a multicultural creative team with roots indigenous to Turtle Island (North America), Africa, Asia, The Pacific Islands, South America, India and Europe.
