I wont profess to know what the meaning of life is because I'm no philosopher (well maybe in some ways I am) but I do know what its like to be PASSIONATE about something in life. As an artist, musician I can tell you that I TRULY love to create music. It was the first thing in my life  I would do for free and felt like i couldn't live without. I played a few sports, mainly football as a child, and it was fun, but I was no where as serious about it as I was once I started creating music. But today I was reminded, not that I really needed to be, that the odds of making big money in the music industry is slim to none. You see my PASSION is not necessarily PROFITABLE in 95% of most cases. Even if my passion was a sport like Football, I could give it my all, be very good, but still if I'm not in the right Division one College to be seen by major scouts, I still may never gain alot of money, profit from my talent. That is the sad ugly truth to life. What you may feel like you were "put here to do" may not be sufficient enough for you to maintain a living doing it. The harsh realities of this world. Yet we are always told to follow your dreams as a child. Sayings like your not happy unless you are doing what you love make it seem like people who make money doing what makes money live an empty life. But Their bank accounts are not empty though. Isnt that whats more important at the end of the day? Lets find out: 1) Does it make more sense to follow your passion in life, or a path more profitable? 2) Do you agree with the phrase your not really happy until you are doing what you love? 3) Have you/Could you be in a relationship with a creative minded person that doesn't make alot of money at what they do? 4) Should people give up perusing a career of their passion at a certain age?
