After reading the book ACRES OF DIAMONDS by Russell Conwell, I am convinced we are all leaving the diamond mines in our own backyards as we travel around the world looking for larger diamonds, when in fact the diamonds we seek are found within us and our hometown, from whence we came. Therefore, we are calling the podcast, #IAMRIVIERABEACH.
Today's Guest: Cedrick Thomas

Cedrick Thomas is a Riviera Beach resident bringing years of experience and leadership to the table.  For 19 years as a Certified Law Enforcement Officer, nine years of experience as a City Councilman, nine years of experience as a Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Commissioner; and nine years of experience as a Utility District Board member.

He served as a State and National Delegate for the Democratic National Convention and is a proud small business owner.
Cedrick has been awarded numerous accreditations and awards for his tireless service and dedication to the community.  He held the position of Union Rep for International Union of Police Associations and was instrumental in making positive changes within the Riviera Beach Police Department. He also received the Meritorious Award for Outstanding Service. Founder the Child Crisis Home Intervention Program Society Inc. (C.C.H.I.P.S. Inc), a program dedicated to preventing at-risk youth from being trapped in the school to prison pipeline.

His experience in law enforcement and business gave him an ear and a heart for the people. He understands what citizens need, and will carry their voices with him as a Representative.
