Bio: SeQuoia Kemp is a Black, feminist, birth worker based in Syracuse, NY. SeQuoia became a certified doula while obtaining her bachelor's degree in Public Health from the University of Rochester. Sequoia is the founder and owner of Doula 4 a Queen, whose mission is to use birth and post-partum doula skills, education, and affirmation to reduce maternal and infant health disparities in Syracuse, NY and surrounding areas. In the near future, SeQuoia plans to pursue a career as a Certified Nurse-Midwife and use her Public Health knowledge to provide compassionate, high quality, culturally aware healthcare to marginalized communities.
