Greatness or Humility- Confusion or Expression of Truth

Brethren and Guests,

It is so good to share your company and share my hospitality. Please, sit down, relax with a cup of your favourite and let me get to work.

Perhaps I can impose on your good nature to help answer some questions that have crossed my mind about the nature of freemasonry. But before we get into that, have you noticed the night is still consuming the light of day? Shadows lengthen quickly in the afternoon. It is the 351st day of the year.

Maintaining balance in the way we make judgements, the way we handling disagreement and conflict, the way we talk one to another about one who is not present, these are the things that define the success of our fraternity. You might think this is essential but you would scarce find these values being taught in lodges.

Being frail creatures, we posture and flex. Mockery and ridicule too often fill the room, chasing a learning opportunity into the darkness once again. 

If we are too escape the limits of our experience, we need to take what we have learned as speculative masons and infect the smallest action with insight.  If you get it, you can do this. If you don't, you don't.

Insight is not a matter of choice or association. Maybe you can help explain what it is because I wouldn't know where to begin.
