BUSY-NESS AND PRODUCTIVE TIME

If we were completely rational, we would be so much easier to control.  Our galleries would be empty. Books of poetry would be blank pages.  Arrangement would override sponteneous acts. AI would rule. And when we looked up at the stars, they would 'be' shiny unexplanable sparks in the darkness. The aspirational teachings of our ritual, the comradery of our gatherings, active mindshiding in open space, knowledge would cease to drip through the fabric of our symbols. A reality of Utopia would be upon us- dire, bleak, grey on grey as a November sky. Let's embrace the importance of realizing we are both. Rational and emotional. To learn about self, we learn about others. It is  part of the sub-text of life that values the time of others and your own sensible appreciation. Growth of character begins as a person overcomes his own reputation to himself.  Externallly, Freemasonry gives us pause to enjoy colourful symbols- in the language of poets, fields of daffodils, odes to clouds.  The masonic environment has sound bites but isn't a sound bite. To study the geometry of the Craft, is also searching back in time without loosing a moment. And by giving ourself over to masonry, the confusion subsides. Understanding brings light into darkness if we persist and earn respect.  Carry your ideas with you. Watch of opporunity to dialogue and learn to listen. As interesting and unique as we are, we are also prone to experiment, searching and discovering.  How we communicate is the stuff of a robust masonic presence of mind.  And it makes us smile- so much that it drives others to distraction wondering why.
