This day commemorates the National Day of Service, established to honor his life and legacy. Monday, January 20, 2025, the Peace Walk starts at 1130P/1230M/130C/230E following a Celebration at the Yakima Convention Center.
Worldwide Listeners, LIVE this evening, the OIC of Yakima Washington's Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., theme is “Don't Give Up the Dream...Keep Hope Alive". There will be a variety of activities for everyone in the community to come together in unity. This annual event highlights the work of government agencies, non-profit organizations, schools, private businesses, and community members to promote peace.
