Fasting as a Powerful Ally: A Personal Journey through Health Challenges

    in Health

    Grandpa Bill explores
In our latest podcast episode, we share personal health battles and how fasting helped us heal. We're challenging modern medicine's narratives for a healthier you. Tune in now! #HealthJourney #Fasting #Healin
We live in a fast-food society where processed foods are not only readily available but also preferred due to convenience. These food choices are, in reality, a poison to the human race. The levels of toxicity that the human race is influenced by today are historically high, thanks to the over-reliance on processed foods. Transitioning from a fast-food society to consuming organic, farm-grown produce can trigger a rapid purge of toxins from the body.

The Stress-Spine Connection Tips Who is Loving Your Spine

    in Caregiving

Loving Care Chiropractic Health talk TIPS Dr. Elbonie Hornbuckle DC  In this segment, we will delve into the effects of stress on the spine and explore how chiropractic care can play a crucial role in managing stress-related tension. Listen in  every Saturday evening @ 6pm EST

What many may not realize is that this stress can have a profound impact on spinal health.
    The Stress-Spine Connection
Stress, whether related to school, work, or personal life, can manifest physically throughout the body. When we experience stress, our bodies release hormones like cortisol and adrenaline, preparing us for the "fight or flight" response.
While this reaction is crucial for survival in short bursts, chronic stress can wreak havoc on our physical health, and the spine is no exception.
    1.   Muscle Tension: One of the most immediate effects of stress on spinal health is muscle tension. When we are stressed, our muscles tend to contract and tighten. Prolonged muscle tension can lead to discomfort and pain in the back, neck, and shoulders.

    2.   Poor Posture: Stress can also affect our posture. Many people tend to slouch or hunch their shoulders when stressed, which can place additional strain on the spine over time. Poor posture can exacerbate existing spinal issues and lead to new ones.

    3.   Inflammation: Chronic stress has been linked to inflammation in the body, including the spine. Inflammation can contribute to conditions such as arthritis and may worsen spinal problems

Dr. Elbonie Hornbuckle is a graduated from the Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic in 2005. She  is a chiropractor serving Stone Mountain and the surrounding area.

A Mind-Body Approach to Healing Pelvic Pain

    in Health

In this episode, Dr. David Hanscom talks with Michael Hodge – a mind / body coach specializing in men’s pelvic health. He shares his personal journey with pelvic pain and how it led him to become a pelvic health specialist. He discusses the link between pelvic pain and mind-body principles, and how anxiety and body chemistry can affect pelvic pain. He explores the concept of emotional pain versus physical pain and how the brain chooses physical pain as a coping mechanism. He highlights the importance of addressing the root cause of physical symptoms and the need for a holistic approach that allows individuals to feel emotions and not just try to fix them.
Michael Hodge went through 5 years of severe pelvic pain, nagging urinary issues, and deflating sexual dysfunction in his 20’s. After returning back to strength, he went on a deep path to discover the root cause of these perplexing mind-body issues. Since teaming up with well-known pelvic expert Dr. Brianne Grogan, Michael has helped over 1,000 men to recover through a proven program that is beginning to capture the attention of scientists and physicians hungry for a proven treatment.
